Elder Kokum Brenda Dubois of Muscowpetung First Nation introduces her views, knowledge, and lessons on anxiety disorder and it’s unique context and impact in Indigenous communities. She shares her decades of experience helping guide Indigenous peoples in their recovery journey through anxiety, providing insight into why we feel the way we do, and why historical context matters in understanding Indigenous anxiety. To her, anxiety is a natural reaction from our body, something that we must appreciate and learn to control.
